The idea for Cakewalk Blogs came from talking to people about their experience with blogs. They said blogs are hard to find things in, and written in small type. And this from folks who really do want their opinions heard -- people who've learned a thing or two, raised families, survived wars. These are people we wanted to listen to, in hopes of learning something!
We looked around for a simple solution. Given the mess of buttons found on most blog sites and self-publish template web sites, you won't be surprised that we found nothing at all. So we started from scratch.
Turns out if you want something to be simple to use, you have to put a ton of extra work into the programming. We even rejected most of the words associated with blogs in favor of terms most people will understand right from the start. Why would you call it a "blogroll" when it's actually a list of recommended web sites?
