The content of this article is taken from http://godfatherpolitics.com and deals with Muslim suppression of the First Amendment in Dearborn, Michigan.
It seems that this city is supposed to contain the largest concentration of Muslims in this country. Ive read articles over the years, some written by missionaries that stated that once Muslims become a majority in any given area they are quick to suppress the rights of other groups and this article proves the accuracy of that assessment. The First Amendment rights of Christians are under assault in Dearborn, Michigan and the attitude of those in government is "so what?"
Dearborn had an Arab Festival a couple years ago and Christian missionaries sought to witness to Muslims outside that festival, for which they were arrested. In Dearborn the First Amendment only exists for Muslims and no one else need apply. The missionaries brought suit against the city, rightly claiming that their First Amendment rights had been violated and they won their case against the city but that does not seem to stop city officials from continuing to suppress Christianity.
In the latest go-round, a local pastor and his associates filed an application with the Police Department in Dearborn asking permission to assemble outside the biggest mosque in North America to speak out against Sharia law. The city was willing to grant the application--provided the pastor and his friends gave up all their rights should anything happen.
The pastor and friends felt this was an undue and illegal burden placed on them. What it amounted to is that no matter what happened or who got hurt, the pastor would be accountable. So, with the help of the Thomas More Law Center, the pastor has again sued the city.
The article noted: "It's interesting to see Muslims fight for their own rights and then turn around and strip those same rights away from anyone else of a different religion, especially Christians. Their goal is not equality, but supreme authority and power and they will stop at nothing until they achieve that goal and all of us infidels are silenced or chained." That about says it all--freedom for the Muslims and chains for the rest of us. Can anyone expect any help from Washington in this? Well, the Muslims can but the rest of us are on our own, although our current attorney general would probably have Christians arrested for disturbing the Muslims by exercising their First Amendment rights. After all, we no longer have the right to do that, or shouldn't have if we still do.
In Amerika the home of the free is a thing of the past, especially if you are a Christian.
