It would seem that not everyone is all agog over Obama’s new announcement that he will now allow more offshore drilling for oil. In fact, some have even gone so far as to call it a political ploy. Given Mr. Obama’s great penchant for openness and truth, how could they think such a thing? After all, “if you can’t trust your president“….well, by now you know the drill.  It seems the Obama administration has been successful at one thing besides its rank Marxism--it has managed to raise the level of public cynicism to ever greater heights. The bovine fertilizer of “Transparency” and “Openness” have now become obvious to all but a small hard core of radical socialists who don’t know how to look for truth anyplace else but in the pages of Das Kapital.

Supposedly, if you believe the media reports, Obama’s call for offshore oil drilling will now begin to alleviate our energy problems. According to the Seattle Times for Friday, April 2nd: “Obama’s second goal is to create revenue through the sale of leases on these offshore drilling sites, but most wouldn’t even begin until 2012”--the magic election year, during which he can get even more mileage out of the same headlines.

Washington Times writer Thomas J. Pyle also wrote, on April 2nd, “Enter reality. Mr. Obama did not open anything. In fact, he locked up vast amounts of energy reserves. In March, as it had been for nearly two years, almost all of the OCS (outer continental shelf) was open. Now, in April, the entire West Coast, the North Atlantic and portions of Alaska are off-limits…The president did not move us any closer to producing more domestic oil and natural gas.  And he certainly didn’t move us any closer to reaping the benefits of affordable, reliable energy…”

Mr. Pyle also noted that: “What the President did do was delay a scheduled  lease sale off the Virginia OCS from 2011 to 2012. He also locked up areas that hold a resources potential of up to 77 billion barrels of oil--more oil than the entire Russian reserve and three times as much as the current US recoverable reserves.”  Pyle observed that Obama’s actions, contrary to his political verbiage, showed that he only announced a “study of this area for potential offshore leasing many years down the road.” So, in the final analysis it is, indeed, a lot of bovine fertilizer of the flatulent  political brand.

Of course if he throws enough of this political BF into the mix he just may be able to get enough votes in the Senate to get his Cap and Trade bill passed--which will be yet another disaster to the American people, but then, Obama’s reason for being where he has been positioned is to do just that, and to make lots of money for those that put him there. Class struggle via corporate fascism and all that!

His announcement is little more than clever propaganda to make it sound like he will be helping out the states of Virginia, Georgia, Florida, South Carolina, and possibly Louisiana with his supposed openness for offshore oil drilling.

Interestingly enough, these are five of the states that are in the process of introducing legislation to nullify Obamacare. You just have to wonder if some of this political hoopla isn’t being directed at these states in order to get them to reconsider their nullification efforts. Possibly if these states can be made to feel “grateful” to Obama for his supposed financial boon to them, they just might consider not seeking to nullify his horrible health care bill. Most good Marxists can usually find a way to accomplish at least two political objectives with one political action.

If Obama can move the Senate to act on his Cap and Trade bill while at the same time acting to pacify some of those states that are in the forefront of the nullification effort, then he will have managed to do just that--as a good Marxist should.

Soothe your enemy with sweet-sounding words as you slip up behind him to slit his throat. Or, as the Scripture so effectively puts it: “The words of his mouth were smoother than butter, but war was in his heart: his words were softer than oil, yet were they drawn swords.” Psalm 55:21.

That’s exactly what Obama and his Marxist friends are all about--class struggle against those Americans that are the productive part of our society and culture. Given that we are under both attack and cultural genocide efforts from our supposed “leaders” the rallying cry of both states and people should be “let the nullification efforts commence!” And don’t be sidetracked by supposed olive branches from Washington which look like peace offerings but are really daggers aimed at our cultural hearts and souls.
