Watching the so-called "conservative" commentary on the Internet regarding Ron Paul, I have to conclude the many of these so-called conservatives are about in the same spot as Comrade Obama. Their thinking is not all that much different.
A trick employed by the media is to take unflattering photos of people they want to make look bad and has anyone noticed how many photos of Ron Paul taken of late make him look like Scrooge personified?
Just read an article about him put out by Reuters, the English news service, which is usually pretty good, but this time they sound exactly like the bought-and-paid-for media in this country. They portray Ron Paul as a cross between Stalin and the Wicked Witch of the West. Even some of the "conservatives" Dick Morris among them (I've always had my doubts about him) try to dump all over Ron Paul because he opposes, among other things, the "Patriot Act." Big deal! No one in his right mind should be a big fan of the Patriot Act, which tears the Bill of Rights to shreds. Should Ron Paul win in Iowa the crescendo of criticism from not only the Left, but also from many who claim to be on the Right will be deafening. It all lets people know where the politicians and pundits really are--and most of them are really on the Left no matter what conservative credentials some of them claim for themselves.
