Today being the day of the Iowa caucuses there is lots of talk about whether Ron Paul can win or not. I have no doubt that he can win, that he may even win, but, then, what about those that count the votes? Years ago one of the Soviet dictators made a statement that "It doesn't really matter who wins but who counts the votes." In today's convoluted political situation there is a certain validity to his comment.
We have been informed that the votes in Iowa will be counted at some "secret location" supposedly to avoid voter fraud or whatever. So who will be responsible for an honest count in Iowa? Could Ron Paul possibly actually win--only to be awarded third place instead of what he won? Such a possibility should not elude us and I think we should rather expect something like that. If you think election fraud can't happen take a good look at Chicago or Gary, Indiana, where every election year the dead rise from their graves and vote and vote and vote.
Do I think there is a possibility that Ron Paul will be "slighted" in the vote count in Iowa? Will the sun rise in the east tomorrow?
