Trial Balloons and Cotton Candy

Too many questions! We have too many questions about the entire Obama/Occidental College scenario that was floated out into cyberspace in the past several days dealing with the supposed financial aid request for Mr. Obama that proved he was a citizen of Indonesia. However, many blogspots picked it up and really ran with it. We were tempted, but sound advice from a couple friends who have been watching political machinations for decades now made us think we had best leave the whole thing alone. Neither of us is a fan of Mr. Obama's by a long shot, but neither do we want to spread abroad a bunch of fatuous windies that will end up discrediting those who genuinely seek to oppose his socialsm.

First off, how and why did this "report" about Obama's financial aid situation while in this college happen to surface at exactly the same time that he is trying to promote a very leftist Latino woman to the Supreme Court? This woman, we might add, seems to think "...she is better than any white male" for the job. A racist comment if ever we heard one. Had a white man said that in regard to a Latino woman he would have probably been deported to Albania or somewhere equally as pleasant, but if she says it about us that's okay. Secondly, if this document, produced on the Internet is really a copy of Obama's request for financial aid, using one of his many aliases, then why are there no watermarks showing on the paper, and why no college seal or logo on the paper. Is someone trying to make conservatives and patriotic people look stupid? Are they attempting to make Obama's many detractors look dumb? Is this whole episode a trial balloon, floated out there among us "great unwashed" to see who will pick it up and run with it? One man suggested that to us and he may well have a point. Another suggested that this may be one of several "reports" leaked to the Internet, one of which the "Obamatrons" in Washington are preparing a response for that will completely discredit anyone sending out such material. In other words, the establishment will eventually send out one of these leaked reports so that they can nail anyone who picks it up and runs with it and make them and the entire patriotic movement look utterly stupid. We can't disagree with that assessment either. It's no secret that the current regime would like to be able to control the Internet. What better reason for them to make a bid for doing that than to be able to cite several totally erroneous reports circulating out there so they can make their case for controlling the Internet so that only the "truth" (their truth) gets circulated on it.

In all honesty, we have an economic meltdown of global proportions on our hands presently. Some talking heads, no doubt to exercise some damage control, have told us the economy is rebounding. We sure don't see that where we live. Jobs here are few and far between, and the person who has one, no matter how much he may detest it, had best hang onto it. He may not get another.

We have a "president" who, for all his lofty hosannas about being a "candidate for change" clearly doesn't care one iota about the American people. Witness how the hirelings in his cabinet do not hesitate to classify the vast majority of us as "right-wing extremists."  He and his friends are trying desperately to disarm us, and in the present leftist political climate , those stories about government concentration camps take on a whole new meaning. Some Americans are afraid to literally think an unfriendly thought about him (thought crime you know). He and his handlers think we are so dumb that we won't see anything at all of what they are trying to do to us--not the billions they spend that we can't pay for, not the pay raises for their corporate fat cat friends, nor their continuing attempts to label almost every living American except Communists as "potential terrorists. And they feel they can fool the public by his appointing a flat-out leftist for the Supreme Court who only seems to want illegal aliens living in this country, "No white males need apply." This lady's skewed version of the Second Amendment can only be charitably characterized  as on a par with Abraham Lincoln's view of an undissolvable Union!

So, after consulting with some folks that have a good degree of political acumen, we can only conclude that this whole episode is yet another pony show, one more among many that have been attempted in his first 100 days in office. We are not saying that Obama and friends perpetrated it, but you do have to wonder, given the degree of accuracy we've so far gotten from this administration.

Now it seems that Mr. Obama will attempt to hide himself behind a new law that says an elected official has the right to deny showing anything that would legitimize his removal from office. World News Daily recently carried an article about a bill in the House of Representatives that would "...prohibit federal employees of the executive branch from being compelled to release any documents unless a court makes a specified determination by a preponderance of evidence--legislation at least one group suspects is designed to protect Barack Obama's elusive birth certificate from release."World Net Daily labeled this bill "The Obama birth certificate protection act." Does make you wonder, doesn't it?  Or, as the billboards now going up across the country say "Where's the birth certificate?"

Since the American public as a whole has no real clue what the denizens of the beltway do behind closed doors (and they're not about to tell you anyway) will they eventually have unlimited anonymity to do whatever they want, wherever they want, to whomever they want, supposedly for the "protection" of the public?  You say they are forced to abide by the restrictions of the Constitution! What's that? They don't give a rip about following the Constitution anymore than Lincoln did, yet it was written to protect us from the very type of government we have today (and have had in increasing degrees ever since the Lincoln administration).

Less government is the obvious solution, not more, and yet the current regime will seek to make us little socialist slaves to their every whim in the not-too-distant future, all for "our own good" of course!

Obama tried this past week to gloss over the racist comment his Supreme Court nominee made, but most were able to read it loud and clear. Mr. Obama and his handlers have big plans for us (it would be nice to know who those handlers were). We will work to pay their stimulus taxes until we are too tired and broke to offer any resistance. Hey, it worked in the Soviet Union, so why not here?

With this president there are many questions and few real answers, and we can be sure there will be many more questions (with few real answers) so learn to pay close attention to what exactly it is they are trying to cover up, either with their trial balloons or with the cotton candy they feed us while telling us it is steak.
