It is Wednesday, about 1 o'clock, and we are crashing down on election day.

I doubt that many would disagree that this one is going to be a big one.  I dare not say, as many have said and some will continue to say, the most important election of their lifetime. I have lived through a couple of big ones and am more cautious than most.

This is not to say that this isn't really big .

What should one consider?  There is so much garbage floating around and so many ads that quiet contemplation is almost impossible.  So I will ask myself the following questions over the weekend before I march to the polls:

1.  How much of a negative was/is JM's decision of Governor Palin as his VP and did it reflect on his judgment?  In the face of the BHO spin machine would it have much different if he had chosen Romney, Liberman, Rudy, Bloomberg or a raft of others?

2.  In our political way of life how much difference did BHO's decision to welsh on his decision to use public funds reflect on his integrity and also on the type of campaign that he was able run?

3.  How much of a political ploy was his trip to his grandmother's bedside?  Was it much different from JM's trip to Washington during the banking crisis which BHO criticized loudly and frequently?

4.  Should a Chicago political background success story be a warning sign?  No one succeeds in Illinois politics who does not have the stamp of approval of Mayor Daley and is considered safe.

5.  If BHO wins, can I stand four years of his preaching to the public?

6.  If BHO wins, can I trust that he can muzzle Joe Biden and not take the advice of one who has been wrong on virtually every foreign policy decision in the last decade?

7.  Does either candidate REALLY TRULY believe that they are going to do all that each has promised during the campaign?

8.  What is the pool of talent from which each of the candidates is going to draw to put together a Cabinet?

9.  What is the attitude of each of the candidates toward the District of Columbia which in my mind is a national disgrace?

10. If BHO wins, what will be his attitude toward the military?  Will he be influenced by the likes of Pelosi and Barney Frank who talk of a budget cut of 25%.  Will he retain General Petraeus?  Is he a big Navy man?  Air Force? or even the Coast Guard unit that patrols on Lake Michigan?

11.  There are a half a dozen others which are more specific to me such as: paying for either of their health care plans, Social Security fixes, abortion, wiping out the current budget deficits and a long term national debt reduction plan which you also might wish to consider as well, depending on your age

Thanks for reading through this far.
