I deliberately excluded myself from the title because because I am a convert to the Fair Tax Plan.

On Tuesday the government makes it last big haul of our money for the taxable year 2007.  For  many it is a time to file for a refund, but is it really a refund.? No.  You have leant the US Government a chunk of your money interest free  for some portion of fifteen months and then you delude yourself into thinking that the government is giving you something.  This is thought control carried to its extreme.

For those of you still in dreamland taxwise, I call your attention to an article in PARADE, April 13, 2008.

This article points out the 61% of US Corporations, including 39% of large corporations paid NO,  ZERO,  SILCH taxes between 1996 and 2000.

If you have been reading the papers lately you will be aware that:

                                  Ford
                                  General Motors
                                  Chrysler

lost money (big time) and therefore will not only not pay taxes this year, but for many years to come as well.

Back to the papers one more time.  Do you think that the major financial corporations which have also lost money (big, big time) are going to pay taxes this year?  Or next?  Or in the foreseeable future?  No way!!

Get Real Folks.  These are not cheaters they are beneficiaries of the largess of Congress with our idiotic current tax system based on income (or in the case of business) net income.

Who pays the shortfall?  You (I) do.  You sit there on your on your comfortable sofa and say "what can I do?"  You can do a great deal.  First, go out and buy a book that really tells the truth about the Fair Tax Plan.  Don't listened to the Harvard economists.  Make your own decision.

WRAP UP
Under the Fair Tax plan every corporation, profit or no profit would pay taxes every time it purchased something.  So would you, but you would have no withholding or payroll taxes to pay.  All the money you earn would be yours to spend as you wish.

There is much more to the Fair Tax Plan.  You owe it to yourself and your families to investigate.

No system is TOTALLY fair, but the one that we have now with over 15,000 pages of Tax Code is ridiculous and outrageous in a country such as ours which prides itself on the theory of equal treatment under the law but doesn't legislate that way.

Look into it.  You may be enlightened and pleasantly surprised.  Then write to your Senators/Representative and DEMAND action/change.
