I am sick of all of this talk of bipartisanship because it is phony and does not contribute anything to problem solving.

Let's face it.  Politics is power.  You have it or you don't. But those in the minority have enormous power and also have the responsibility to exercise that power intelligently in the national interest.

I suggest that we pick up the British concept of the "loyal opposition" which has really been the guiding principle of the Republican opposition to much of the current Stimuli packages.  In my opinion the Republicans were not trying to scuttle the President's proposals.  They just philosophically disagreed.  If one is fair in analyzing the end result, this "opposition" resulted in a better final package even though the Republicans were being pilloried for it.

That's all.  Just think of the battle as being between a good "loyal Opposition" and the "Ins", not as an attempt to prevent a solution.
