For those of you who are interested in, or care about these things, you may want to carefully watch the mini explosions which are currently taking place in the Democratic Party.
If not contained, by cooler heads than the current leadership in both Houses of Congress, it could eventually result in the Blue Dog Democrats formally developing into a full blown political party.
For those of you old enough to remember it was 1948 when Strom Thurman led a number of Southern States out of the Democratic Party and created the Dixiecrats which caused havoc for a couple of elections. ( I apologize to those not old enough to remember who will have to check their history books or go to the Internet to brief themselves.)
It will also be interesting to see if the Republicans are smart enough, or willing, to limit their comments while the opposition commits political suicide. I really doubt it based on the past.
Predicting is a risky business. Ah Well.
