I am a big fan of Mark Warner.   He was a great Governor of Virginia and will make a great Senator swamping Jim Gilmore.  He is bright, but yesterday he proved that he was more of a doctrinaire Democrat than he is bright.  Why?

He issued a statement of his energy policy.  It was a shopping list of very thoughtful energy saving ideas.  He even threw in a couple of energy producing ideas, BUT loyalty to the Democratic party forced this very bright man, who made millions by reading the Telcon explosion properly and selling out at the top of the market,  to not include an expansion of nuclear power plants in this country to help solve our dependency on oil from any source, either domestic or foreign.

France produces 80% of its energy with nuclear.  The US about 20%.  The same day Mc Cain announced that he would support the building of 45, yes 45, new plants over the next decade.

Come on Mark, issue a revision to include nuclear.  I'll even accept an excuse that some one didn't type the message properly.
