It has happened before and it can happen to you. Avoid over exposure to the media. I say this for two reasons: the public gets tired easily of new faces (even heroes); also every time you talk you are bound to upset someone. Talk too much and over night you will have a whole army of critics.
My advice. Take your medals and go home. Disappear for a couple of months. Ignore the advice of your agent who prospers on commissions. Maybe your Mother is a better source of advice than anyone else, because she has no hidden agenda other than your well being.
