ABOUT
THE ARTIST: Darcy Meeker’s copper work twinkles on corporate walls and
in homes coast to coast. Flamed patinas, detailed hand tooling, and
paint give her work immediate graphic impact and support leisurely
perusal. She also works and designs in stone, clay, silk, neon and
fiber optics and writes, speaks and gives workshops on these art forms
and healing through making art. You can see Darcy’s work on in
Blacksburg at Luther Memorial Lutheran Church or Miller-off-Main
Gallery on Wilson St., in Roanoke at Gallery 108 on Market St., in

COURSE
DESCRIPTION: We will work with 36 gauge copper and aluminum, wire,
heat-reactive paint, acrylics and oils. Materials will be supplied and

LOCATION:
This 3-day workshop will be taught at the Blacksburg Recreation Center,
Patrick Henry Drive, Blacksburg, VA from 9:00AM to 4:00PM. The workshop
is limited to 18 participants on a first-come basis.
COST: $175 BRAA member, $195 non-member (this makes you a member)
RESERVATIONS:
Your check for $100 will reserve your space. The balance is due
September 9, 2008. Materials and use of tools are included in your fee.
CANCELLATION: A full refund less $25 if a substitute can be found.
