 To all concerned parties:

Notice is hereby given that the Christiansburg Planning Commission will be meeting in the Christiansburg Town Hall located at 100 E. Main Street, Christiansburg, Virginia on Monday, August 4, 2008 at 4:00 p.m. for the purpose of allowing the full Commission to review the following:

1) An ordinance in regards to a rezoning request by Cheryl A. Hessney, Joshua D. and Sara T. Akers, and William C. Osborne for property at 470, 500, and 520 Montgomery Street (tax parcels 497 – ((A)) – 80 and 497 – ((27)) – 1 and 2) from R-2 Two-Family Residential to B-3 General Business.  The property contains approximately 1.5 acres and is scheduled as Residential in the Future Land Use Map of the Christiansburg Comprehensive Plan.  The Public Hearing is set for August 5, 2008.

2) Consideration of amendment to Chapter 3 “Advertising” of the Christiansburg Town Code in regards to provisions for roof, wall, and marquee signage.

3) Consideration of amendment to Chapter 30 “Zoning” of the Christiansburg Town Code in regards to provisions for a Historic District Overlay.

4) Consideration of amendment to Chapter 30 “Zoning” of the Christiansburg Town Code in regards to provisions for parking garages.

A description of the preceding reviews, proposed ordinance, the Town's Advertising Ordinance, Zoning Map, Zoning Ordinance and Future Land Use Map may be viewed in the Christiansburg Town Hall, 100 East Main Street, Christiansburg, VA 24073-3029 during normal office hours of 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.  Written comments may be sent to the preceding address; please allow adequate mailing time.
