There is no reason for my late blogging except for #1 I'm not a computer guruh and #2 things that are happening in my life keep me away from the computer alot. The reason for this blog is to talk about my regional meeting I attended last night. there is a bunch to say about the group that came to Tyler County for our last Regional meeting of the year, but the biggest thing was that I beleive that every single one of those members should be congradulated for all their hard work and efforts they put into making their community a better place. I presented a workshop on stepping up and standing out in your community, but I didn't need to tell them anything they didn't already know. I want to thank Tyler Countys' FFA for making me feel welcome and to all the meembers who I got to know while I was there. In case you want to know how to make your community better just follow these simple rules
Know who you serve and your community (what could you do to make your community better)
Find a way to help meet your communities needs (fundraisers)
Act on your goals to help your community with well deserved service. (I mean We are living to serve...right?)
As a wrap up there was aprox. 8 FFA Chaptersthere at the meeting. Every Chapter took home 10 gift baskets for people in their Community in need. the baskets were full with canned ham, corn, beans, stuffing, cake mik, yams...almost everything they would need for a christmas dinner. It was amazing to see all the basket after they were assembled. What a great Organization we are in that with a few hours we can do something so simple and change so many lives.
I want everyone who reads this blog to think about something that you can do to help your community over the holidays and act on it. It can be something simple or big. It's never to late to start. May your holidays be blessed and your Christmas be filled with joy!
with faith, hope, and charity,
