Recently I've had the pleasure to do chapter visits at Hampshire, Jefferson and Washington High Schools.
Hampshire- You guys were my first visit and you were wonderful! I had so much fun talking with you and meeting so many great members. You were so enthusiastic about making your animal noises!! I had so much fun and can't wait to see you again.
Jefferson- You have such energy! Even the last classes of the day were exciting. The fire drill provided a new experience in my year. It was amazing how fast your school of over a thousand students could get out and back in that quickly. Best of luck to all of you applying for a state degree.
Washington- You AMAZE me!!! For a young chapter in its first year, you are doing things experienced chapters would be proud of! I loved hearing how many things you have planned. You were such a welcoming chapter and made me feel right at home. I really enjoyed having lunch with some of your officers (by the way "You're school is huge!" How many times did you hear that?) I hope to see you guys at horse judging. Good luck! If you have any questions just give me a shout.
These three visits were wonderful! I can't wait for the others.
As an aside the state ham and bacon auction was wonderful. So many members had such wonderful exhibits. Imagine $175 per pound on a ham! Wow! Plus meeting Commissioner of Agriculture Gus Douglass made my day! I was so excited. I'm smiling like an idiot in most of the pictures and I don't care. It was an amazing experience all around.
Just so you guys know I will be on spring break next week in North Carolina working for Habitat For Humanity but if you need me leave a message on here and I should be able to respond shortly.
Best wishes!!!
