Howdy,
Since my last blog I have had the opportunity to witness and take part in several very interesting meetings around the state. The first happened on April 2nd through the 3rd in Morgantown. Some of you may have noticed that your beloved Ag. Teacher was absent from school that day, and they may have told you that they were going to a meeting. I was also at this meeting, which gave me the opportunity to watch so many fine, intelligent people plan out the state activities that are coming up. This also gave the officer team a chance to sit down and plan out some of State Convention.
The second meeting that I was at took place on April 7th at Jackson’s Mill. It was the Young Farmers Institute taught by Dr. Kohl, an agriculture economics professor from Virginia Tech. He was extremely interesting to listen to, and gave all of the people at his presentation an insight on what he sees as coming. Dr. Kohl also had advice for anyone who was looking to start a farming operation, and the steps they should take.
Take care,
Erik Yost
