This is the time of year when banquets and graduations signify the end of one journey. Whether it is the end of your officer year or even the end of your high school career, one door is closing. But, when one door closes another door will open. As you leave the previous year behind, there is another year with greater things just ahead of you.
I attended the Greenbrier East banquet earlier this month. The members honored supporters in the community, the late Mr. Coughlin, members with outstanding enterprises, and the 2008-2009 team inducted the 2009-2010 officers. I would like to congratulate the 08-09 team on a great job putting on the banquet and wish the best of luck to the new officer team.
Congratulations are in order for all of the newly elected officers! This is a great accomplishment to be elected by your peers to a leadership position. I wish you the best of luck in the year to come. Way to go on a job well done to all of the retiring officers. You have done a great job and set a great example for the members in your chapters and the upcoming officers.
I would also like to congratulate all the seniors! You made it!!! Enjoy graduation! It is your day to shine! All of your hard work has paid off. Now you will begin a whole new journey. One that is sure to be even better than the one before.
As the song says “Every new beginning comes from some other beginnings end” Keep that in mind as you being your new journeys.
