April Showers Bring May Flowers

And with the amount of showers that we have been having, there better be a BUNCH of flowers come May.

As spring is in full force, many of you have full schedules. Between school, FFA, sports, banquets, and prom and for some of you, graduation, you can become overwhelmed very quickly. There is so much to do and so little time to do it in.

Sometimes, it is just too much. There are times when we feel as if we cannot go anymore. We have reached out limits. I know things become very frustrating and you get to a point when the only thing you can do is scream! So, what should you do? What is anyone do?

My advice, coming from some tough experiences and a lot of lessons learned the hard way, the first thing you need to do is to get your priorities straight. Put the things of high importance on top and do those tasks first. If you have a paper to write or a big test to study for, maybe it would be a good idea to skip that practice or meeting. If you explain the situation, your leaders and coaches will understand that school work comes first. After all, that is your FIRST priority right now.

After you have everything in order, you should stop and take a little time for yourself. That’s right, I said stop. Take time out to do something you love. Maybe for ten of fifteen minutes a day to read a book or take a walk or play a musical instrument, or maybe just stop to smell those flowers.

I hope that you all will keep these thoughts in mind as you close out your school year.

Remember: when life gives you showers, it will soon bring flowers……

Until next time, keep on the sunny side!
