Spring Govenering Body

Posted April 6, 2009 at 3:29 PM

Hi Guys and Girls,

I hope everyone has had a good few weeks. I know many of you are getting ready for spring contest. Some of you are getting to take the next step in your lives, which is what are you going to do after high school. That question is asked from the time that you enter 9th grade until your senior. Is a 4 year college, 2 year college, or maybe technical school for you? You should look deep inside of yourself to pick what you want to do.

This was a very hard decision for me. I had always said that I want to go to WVU; there wasn’t any other school that I wanted to go to, when I was in high school. The more I heard about WVU the more I figured out it wasn’t for me starting out. I shocked a lot of people by say that I want to go to Potomac State first, but it was the right decision for me.

For those of you that don’t know, I go to Potomac State College and I’m majoring in Agriculture Education. That’s right I want to be like you’re crazy Ag teacher. I had the opportunity to see a lot of your advisors this past Friday at the Spring Governing Body Meeting in Morgantown. I got to see these great men and women make decisions about FFA, it was exciting. It made me start to think that one day I hope to be there. So besides sitting in on the meeting, the other state officers and I started to plan a great state convention. We hope to have a few new things that will make this year’s convention memorable. One of the things is having a member slideshow before every session, but we need you or your advisor to send us pictures of activities that you have been happening all year. If you send the pictures then your chapter activities will be seem at state convention. You can send the pictures to me or other state officers.

Love Always,
Emma
