Last tap goodbye

Last tap goodbye

If you ask any past state President what was the hardest part of turning over your office, they may answer you by saying unzipping the jacket for the last time or giving the gavel to the next state President because you know you will never tap it again.  Now it seems weird to say that but with that jacket and gavel comes all the members to follow.  You have no idea until you are a state president what type of year you will have.  It is not easy, and the road ahead of you has many pot-holes but at the end of the day I count my blessings because this past year was incredible.  I have had so many great travels and met wonderful people.  The new friends I have made I love and the friends I have kept have become stronger.  I have gained such great skills as a person and a leader and grown as a woman.  I love the FFA, West Virginia, my friends and family even more after this year.

When all is said and done I am thrilled about the year I have had and the accomplishments I made and I am so happy that someone else gets to have that experience.  John I am so happy for you.  You have no idea what you are getting ready to get yourself into and the year that is about ready to change your life.  But even though I am so happy for you I still did not want to unzip that jacket or tap that gavel good-bye.

Love always,

Jada
