Over the past week I have been on Spring break. I have to admit, I feel that I have gotten a lot done. I spent my week visiting four chapters( Moorefield Middle, Jefferson High School, Martinsburg High, and Charles Town Middle), catching up with friends I hadn’t seen in a long time, spent time with my family, and was able to relax just a bit.
On Monday I went to Moorefield Middle School. I was able to meet the eighth graders and do a workshop with them. They were so enthusiastic and it was a great way to start off my week of chapter visits.
On Tuesday I woke up bright and early to go to Jefferson High School. Now, I live 45 minutes away from there and yet had no idea where the school was but I just want to say I did not get lost. After a day full of workshops, getting to meet even more of the students, and having the chance to see that side of Jefferson County I headed home.
Wednesday was my visit with Martinsburg. Martinsburg is in my home county so I knew many of the students there. It was a very relaxing visit. I met with the officers for lunch and talked to them a bit. I left there that day and headed home. Later that afternoon, I ended up in the emergency room with my mom. Everything turned out fine but better to be safe then sorry.
Thursday I did my visit with Charles Town Middle. They were an awesome group and I really enjoyed it. Later Thursday night I had a girls night with some of the girls I went to high school with. Funny thing is that all of them I met through FFA. Amazing how that works.
Today I am spending Easter with my family. Later tonight I have to head back to Keyser for school. On Friday a few of us will be heading to the West Virginia Beef Expo and as long as nothing else comes up I will be there.
Hope everyone is enjoying this beautiful weather and is able to spend time with loved ones.
