WOW...All I have to say is thank you. Thank you to all who has helped me up to the point of receiving my State Degree and becoming a State Officer. It was a rough long journey but we made it through.
My first day at State Convention was very busy.  Having to be there at 10:00 and arriving at 9:58, and having to be in official dress (OD) ready to go into a meeting with the Nom Com (Nomination Committee). Was a little tough, seeing how i was in a pair of jeans and a cute shirt. So needless to say i was out of street clothes and in O.D in less then a min. cuz i was at the meeting at 10:01!!! GO ME!!! After the interview processes were done for the day I couldn't wait to get into some sweat pants and take off those god forsaken heels. I may be a girl but there is one thing i don't like and that is stilettos. I'm all about the flats, girls you know what i mean.
I'm not going to go through the whole process of being elected because it is a very long one but you should do it for yourself. I was really good friends with all the people who were running. There was five people running for office just from my region, and there was 13 of us all together and only 9 spots so...becoming friends with all of them, at the end if you dont get a position on the team, you dont really care because you are happy for whoever gets it.
So...we are all standing around being Curdiousy corps members, mending the doors. when the buisness session starts, of the convention.  We all know what is ahead of us and you can start to see everyone getting nervous. One by one you get to see your friends get elected. When I got elected at large, to represent someone elese region, I was HAPPY beyond words could say. But the fact that 4 others didnt get elected upset me to a point. i hope they go for it next year and still support the ffa...Im looking forward to a great year and to get to know my officer team way better.....TO BE CONTINUED...THE DAY IN THE LIFE OF A WV STATE FFA OFFICER! =)
