It seems just like yesterday that I got elected as a State Officer, and now our year is 3/4th of the way over! Before we know it, it will be state convention time.
We are now into the busy season for all FFA chapters and members. Spring time brings along: HBE shows, banquets, filling out applications for various degrees and awards, chapter visits and election of new officers. I have been busy as well I have visited 5 of my 9 chapters and I had the honor of presenting WV FFA's newest chapter, East Hardy Middle, with their FFA charter. Congratulations and best of wishes.
My very first chapter visit was at Pendleton County High School. You guys were very well behaved and interacted well with me. I look forward to seeing visiting with all the members at your Parent - Member Banquet!
My next two visits were at East Hardy. I had the pleasure of spending time with the Middle School FFA. For the newest chapter, you have a very strong and knowledgable group of members. Keep up the good work. I also got to spend time with the High School FFA. I knew most of their members, so, everyone gave me a hard time. But, we had a lot of fun. Thank you East Hardy FFA Chapters for allowing me to come.
The last two visits that I made were to Petersburg. I got to talk with the Middle Schoolers and talk to their newly elected officers. I learned alot from these members! You guys have a very strong start. Best of luck next year in getting your charter. I got to spend time with the High School FFA as well. After the workshop, the members and I went and played various games for FFA week. We played: egg toss, milk chugging, donut eating on a string, and a cake eating contest. I had a lot of fun. Thank you Petersburg FFA Chapters for allowing me to come.
I look forward to attending the Ham, Bacon and Egg Sale on March 11th. I hope to see everyone there. I will also be in attendance of the State HBE sale on March 15th. I am excited about getting to meet members from all over the state.
