All of the officers met at the beginning of this month for our September meeting in Flatwoods, WV. We had a wonderful time and got a lot of planning done. Thank You to the Braxton County FFA Chapter for allowing us to come and present our workshops. We had a blast.
The weekend of September 18th I invited Jada to come home with me to Moorefield. Friday night we went to the Moorefield homecoming game (great job guys) and took my little sister along with us. Saturday we went over to Camp Pinnacle (home of Hardy County 4-H Camp) for a 4-H judging picnic. We were heading back home in my mom's tahoe. There was 7 of us in there so we had it pretty loaded down. We weren't too far from home, we were almost off of Corridor H when my dad smacked a 250 pound black bear with my mom's brand new Tahoe. It was a very scary experience!!! The bear shattered the windshield, the air bags deployed and filled the car with the air bag contents. My mom hurt her leg and I hit my head off the seat; we both got a real lovely ride in the ambulance to the hospital. We were up there for a few hours to get checked out. We are all ok now, as for the bear....... well it's dead and we have its head and feet. My mom's tahoe... well it's a little broken and has to go to the body shop.
*Note to all* ALWAYS wear your seatbelt and be on the look out for black bears!!!
This Friday the officer team will be going to Buchannon for Farm bureau day..
Until Next Time........
Andrea
