Fair Tax Plan (FTP), Part 2 of 5.

I am not here to argue with anyone.  I want to educate, motivate and then to activate you to contact your Senators and Representative in Congress to urge them to address this issue.

Before we begin I wish to point out the following:

1.  If we do not do something about the Federal method of raising revenue. we will never have the money to decrease the Federal debt, save Social Security or introduce a realistic system of health care in this country.  Unless there is a change at the Federal level it will be impossible for the individual States to do anything to modernize their own tax structures.

2.  Throughout this entire discussion remember that ALL TAXES are paid by the individual.  Businesses DO NOT PAY TAXES.  They just raise the prices which are paid by you to cover the cost of the taxes which they just collect, but are remitted to the government under their own names.  General Motors, General Electric, Ford, IBM, Microsoft. etc. DO NOT PAY TAXES.  THEY REMIT THE TAXES COLLECTED FROM YOU IN THEIR INFLATED PRICES.

3.  Along these same lines, if a major corporation doesn't make a profit, it DOES NOT PAY TAXES NOR DOES IT REMIT THOSE TAXES WHICH THEY HAVE COLLECTED FROM YOU IN THEIR INFLATED PRICE STRUCTURE.  Does that make you feel good about our present system?

4.  Also, in those companies, which do make a profit, but pay outrageous salaries and bonuses to top executives which result in lower profits, their Federal Income Taxes are thus reduced.  Does that make you feel good about our present system?

That is enough for now.  Chew on this around the dinner table and the water cooler.
