When something is broken, the usual reaction is to try to fix it.  Unfortunately, when it is broken beyond repair one must throw it away and buy a new one, or go without.

This a perfect description of where we find ourselves with regard to US tax policy. However, we do not have the option of "go without".

I urge that as a citizen and also a taxpayer that you look into this NOW.

The current US Tax Code exceeds 10,000 pages,  We pay hundreds of billions of dollars to administer.  It is estimated that 4 out of 10 tax filers use professionals to prepare their returns.  It is a disaster.

As much as we might like, we cannot fix it.  Not while we have a Congress that reverts to tampering with the Code every time that they want to do something (anything it seems).

I will not go into detail of the Fair Tax Plan at this point.  As an involved person you must dig into this yourself as did I.  I do promise that I will give you more information the next time.

Good luck.  You are in for a rude awakening.
